Re: Dead Eletrics
Is your car positive earth or negative earth? If positive then you would get a 12v reading when testing from the fuses to the positive terminal. Do you have a dynamo or an alternator? If you have a control box next to the fuses then check all terminations and take it off and have a look at the back....

Re: indicator help please .
Mine is a 62 and it had the old style relay that used to flash the sidelights so your system wiring, like mine, may be something that a previous owner has developed, having changed to newer style rear and front lights with amber indicators. Unless they used a later loom they may not have used the st...

Re: Ignition help
Was the points video on how to set them or how to change them. A common problem with points if you haven't fitted them before is not getting the wire and insulator in the correct order. Fit one half of the insulator, then the points spring, then the two wires, then the second part of the insulator, ...

Re: Ignition help
Welcome, I see this is your first post. Are you familiar with points or is this the first set you have fitted? Have you checked the ht leads are in the right position? If you fitted in the same order as you took them off what is to say that is the correct order if the car was not running beforehand....

Re: Where have my lights gone?
Check the brown/blue wire on A1 on the regulator and then check the other end of that wire where it feeds the light switch. This is where your electricity has been lost - probably.

Re: Headlight Gremlin
Where did you swap the main and dipped beam connections? The best way to check the bulb is to put it in the nearside lamp and make sure both elements light or else test it with your multimeter. If your nearside headlamp is working okay on dip the the fault is between the bullet connectors next to th...

If you jack the back up under the diff then you can see if there is any difference in height at the front.

Re: Wiring diagram for installing a cigarette lighter
For the power or positive on the cig lighter, if you want it on all the time wire it to the purple leads on the fuse box. If you want it on only with the ignition then wire it to the green wires on the fuse box. For the earth just use a local earth near where you are mounting it.

Re: Engine Vibration in every gear
You could put the back axle up on axle stands, start engine and run it through the gears to see if it still happens. If not it could be front wheels/suspension. If it does happen jacked up you may be able to see what is vibrating.

Owned in Japan I believe but about 50 factories all round the world.

I would check the wires at your control box, or if this has been removed check where it was sited on the bulkhead. You are likely to have connections there where the control box was bypassed.

Re: seized morris
Mine had sat for a similar time and one of the exhaust valves was seized in the down position. A quick tap with a hammer freed it. Have the rocker cover off to check this is not the case with yours. I then put a small amount of engine oil in the spark plug holes before turning it over by hand. I the...

Re: Electronic ignition
Yes but you need to know if your car is positive earth or negative earth to order the right kit.
You should have no problems and you can keep the old points in the boot to change back if it ever fails.
