Re: National Rally.
I complain about it always being north of Watford gap and in doing so I'm apparently a disgracefully arrogant chap, that is missing out on the event if I decide not to travel. :D I suppose this is about as fair as our Scottish friends complaining it is always below Carlisle! I think my point was fa...

Re: National Rally.
For those of you complaining about the national being NORTH of the Watford Gap. I did an approx 700 mile round trip to the National this year in Series 2 with an 803 and no problems. The car in Question is in the photos (NIA) Anyway for those of you still complaining 2017/18 Nationals will be SOUTH...

Re: National Rally.
We had a lovely time, although the autojumble seemed less fruitful than last year and I agree it felt down on numbers. Apart from one incident with a marshal who'd let her hi-viz go to her head, I thought the site was well managed and I was pleased to be able to help out when the PA needed moving! A...

Good Quality Brake Light Switches?
Hello, I need to replace my brake light switch and I'm aware that ones from the usual suppliers are of dubious quality. Can anyone recommend a source of decent switches that aren't going to fail after 12 months? Club Spares Brian suggests one from a VW Golf might work - anyone know the exact part? TIA

If you're already insured with FJ then I would recommend ringing them and adding the cover to your existing policy.

Re: roller painting
It's possible to achieve an amazing finish, but it's a LOT of prep and sanding - to get a good look it's 99% prep 1% paint.
On the up sides, it's cheap and easy to repair and scrapes or dents you get. I intend to roller paint my Charlie at some point in the near future!

Re: New Alternator
What's the question in this thread? No question, I guess I was just proud of myself achieving this installation in relation to my limited skills compared to the more advanced mechanics on here who would find the installation of an alternator as easy as ABC :D Congratulations! I thought I had altern...

That is unfortunate! Well, now you've got a split screen!!!
I'd call ESM and speak to them about it. They are very good.

I must say that a rang today on unrelated business and Kate was very helpful. Maybe it depends which wa...

Re: Front "M" nose RED colour
I believe 'Cherokee Red' is the correct colour. Here is some advice from another thread just my tuppence-worth; I think that Humbrol 19 Gloss Bright red and 48 Gloss Mediterranean blue are close; one advantage of Humbrol enamels is that they are mixable, so you can acheive a very wide range of shade...

Re: What is the clubs nominated charity for 2015
 The best place to ask a general club query is the club office. Irmscher posted a question here at 11pm, then when this wasn't answered by 10am the next day posted two more different questions. As with any question posted here, you have to wait until someone comes along who knows the answer. ...

Would it not be beneficial to the club to have someone from the office, someone who can answer these questions, as an active presence on this forum?LouiseM wrote:As suggested above, contact the club office.
