Re: Insane Diff prices!

Interesting, sounds like a good diff for a very uprated Minor!

I do indeed have the 1275 Marina engine, Metro HIF44 carb & DMG 1.5" exhaust so I am hunting around for a 3.9 diff in good working order but at a sensible price! :)

Re: Insane Diff prices!

I asked these folk to tell me the ratio of the diff. They spun it & replied that it's 3.5 - 1....can this be correct? They have now edited their listing to say as much....This ratio is not on the list...now I'm even more confused.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Healey-Sprite-MG-MIDGE...

Insane Diff prices!

Well I'm stunned! It's freaking insane money.... A 3.9 diff sold on eBay last evening for £395....yes really...three hundred & ninety five quid! :o :o :o Given the going rate seems to be an already very high £250'ish I don't get what happened there but one thing is for sure...my plans to by &...

Ok, another daft question from me......does the casing of this diff look ok or has a bit broken off?

Re: Weller rims - hubcap problem!

Exactly my experience Andy. It is I believe the lack of the "locating space" (for want of a better term) that is the problem. I have taken mine down too far I think, but still I cannot get them to "clip" in securely. I hope this will be remedied as the MD agreed. Hopefully your ...

Re: Weller rims - hubcap problem!

Maybe Andy or done on a Friday afternoon .I don't accept there apology of no solution was of any use whatsoever and doesn't give future buyers any confidence  I couldn't agree more! An owner from "the other channel" has some unused rims he bought in 2014 with the same problem. He is...

Re: Weller rims - hubcap problem!

Alan Lowe's response to my reply : Dear Andy, Thank you again for the email, I'm sorry that your experience with us was not as you'd expected. As business we strive to build the very best in British steel wheels and invest a huge amount into building quality steels for our customers. If any other m...

Hmm, good point. They obviously use the same lugs.
Are you thinking that the Ford lug spacing could have been used on some Minor rims? :o

Re: Weller rims - hubcap problem!

I have just sent this to Weller MD, Alan Lowe..... Dear Mr Lowe, As you are aware, I have been in touch with Weller several times regarding the Weller Morris Minor rims I purchased which do not accept hubcaps due to the “buttons” being wrong. I have had nothing but stonewalling from your company. W...

Well now, "mu04ngo" is a member on the other forum (MMO) & has a set of Weller rims that he never used....guess what...hubcaps don't fit his rims either! :o :(

He & I are going to email Alan Lowe, the Weller MD.

Three of us now with this issue!

Re: new tyres

I've just removed 4 x Nanking 155/80R14 from my Traveller as I have fitted wider wheels. They seem to be really good tyres for relatively little money, around £50 - £55 each inc. fitting. I had confidence in all weathers with them & they have loads of tread left after several thousand miles. Andy.

Re: Weller rims - hubcap problem!

Ok, This Is The Final, Final Update (honest!): :o I had a no choice but to give it a go & try to modify the buttons on these blasted rims so that I could get hubcaps on. That, or I had completely wasted my money. Midget had fed me some pointers/ideas - thanks buddy, your communications & ha...
