Re: Replacement engine
Well thanks guys for all the advice. My car is rebuilt, finished in January last year, no changes to standard so I guess the diff will be the standard 4.22:1. Might think about the Wolseley 1500 diff. Would that be the same as a Riley 1.5? Maybe not as it was sportier. Maybe I'll just drive it a bit...

Re: Replacement engine
Thanks RAB, yes I would probably upgrade to front discs, and hopefully 5 speed box would alleviate the need to change the diff?

Replacement engine
Driving my traveller the other day on an 80 mile round trip finding it a bit fraught at 60. So I'm thinking about replacing the engine with a bigger unit, something like a Marina 1300 and a Ford type 9 5 speed gearbox or something similar. Re: traveller won't run
Just wanted to thank everyone for their input. Despite a little friction most seemed to think the condenser would be the culprit. Went to my local vintage vehicle club and they thought the same and their resident Morris expert even gave me an old, new condenser. Fitted it this morning and immediatel...

traveller won't run
Hi all, I bought a refurbished traveller about a month ago. Had been rebuilt by an old guy who has rebuilt three to date. As I was driving home, the car began to misfire, just occasionally to start but got progressively worse as I got near home until eventually it had to be pushed into my garage. Si...

Buying a traveller
I am considering buying a Traveller. The car would be not quite my daily driver but would certainly be used several times per week. So I'm wondering what modifications if any would be useful (sorry to all you purists out there!). I'm thinking about a brake servo or even disc brakes, an alternator, n...
