I have just insured my Traveller with Adrian Flux it cost me £95 for fully comp with agreed value of £8500 and recovery etc.
The mileage limit is 3000, but for another £10 could be upped to 5000. The car is not garaged either.
Footman James wanted £178 for the same insurance.

Re: Vacuum/Economy Gauge Piping
Hi Monty
Can I ask you to give us some details of how you made and fixed the new dash panel into place please.
I am just at the point of doing exactly the same thing myself.
Thanks

Re: Traveller waist rail additional window lip seal.
Hi Alan I think you might be thinking about the ones on the drivers and passenger doors for the vertically sliding windows. The ones I am thinking about are for the rear sliding windows on the Traveller. My car does have the ones you are talking about as well, I think they are a big improvement for ...

Traveller waist rail additional window lip seal.
I seem to remember seeing a modification that someone had done by adding some rubber lip seals along the top outer edges of the waist rail in an attempt to divert the water from the glass from going down into the channels. I know this is totally non standard, but I wanted to have another look at thi...

Re: Distributor query.
My Traveller was fitted with Lumenition about ten years ago by a previous owner and has been very reliable. However I plan to carry either a complete spare dizzy, or at least the small parts to go back to points and condenser if it should ever fail. I have carried a spare dizzy around in my austin 7...

Engine Breathing
I have been thinking whether or not I should be changing the engine breather set up on my 1968 Traveller in order to minimise the oil escaping from the scroll seal. The current setup is a hose from the rocker cover into the air filter housing There is also a metal pipe from the front tappet chest co...

Re: What are the Advantages of Alternator
My advice would be to keep the dynamo until such time as either it or the voltage regulator fails, then replace it with an alternator kit instead of new DC parts. Its a bit like the argument for changing my Austin Seven from 6 to 12 volts, I have managed for 21 years on 6 volts with no problems, but...

Hello I cannot tell you anything about that particular car, I did see it while ago when I was looking for one myself. What I can tell you is not to rush into buying the first one you see, the car I have just bought is almost identical in every respect to that one, but mine came from a club member ad...

I found this company on the internet. If you have the number getting a key is fairly straightforward.

Car Cover
Hi all Does anyone happen to have a photograph of a Traveller with a specific cover fitted. I have just ordered a "Stormshield plus" from "Specialised Covers" in Shipley, they take four weeks to make and supply, and I was just wondering what it will look like on the car when it e...

Banjo Steering Wheel Swap
Hello I wonder if somone could tell me about the parts I will need in order to fit the earlier banjo steering wheel to my 1969 Traveller. There are some steering wheels for sale that do not have the centre horn push parts included, I would like to know if my existing parts will fit from my later two...

Just as a matter of interest, what are other peoples thoughts on using spring and shake-proof washers. Personally I hate the things and after doing a bit of internet research it looks like they need avoiding. http://www.boltscience.com/pages/helicalspringwashers.htm Even NASA have concluded they are...

Unless I have misunderstood it, the Government website mentions a cutoff date of pre 1966 for seat belts being legally required.

Re: Adderley Park Traveller's
Well, I could be a Traveller owner soon.
I am off to look at a 71 model on Friday, if it is as good as the photo's it should be OK.
I am taking a club member who knows his stuff along to give it a proper looking over before I decide though.

Interior Colour
Could anyone tell me if an interior colour of navy Blue would have been fitted as standard to a Maroon B 1971 Traveller please.
I am suspicious that a car I am potentially looking at buying has had a change of colour at some point in its life.
Thanks
Phil
