Repairing SU H2 carb

I have a 1959 2 door saloon running on a single standard SU carb. When changing the fuel line from pump to carb I pulled the copper inlet neck out of the float chamber lid. It pushes in again fairly tightly but I am concerned about fuel leakage. I am not at the stage of rebuild when the carb can be ...

Trafficator baffle plate

Could someone please explain what the purpose of the Trafficator baffle plate is? I have re-installed trafficators on my 1959 2 door saloon and have fabricated the 2 baffle plates which mount inside the B post on the Trafficator fixing screws but what are they for?

I think the colour is original and is behind panels and dashboard etc with no evidence of a re-spray. All the MMOC records show the only blue used at that ti...

Re: Trafficator mounting plates

Well done for that suggestion. I had not thought of 'Minor Matters' but found exactly what I was looking for with my first telephone call. That will be my first port of call in future.

Trafficator mounting plates

I am re-establishing the trafficators on my 1959 2 door. I have managed to acquire the units themselves and have them repaired and operating effectively but I am in need of the brakets that attach the trafficators to the inside of the B post. They will be mild steel and bent in such a way as to keep...
