Re: F1 MOGGIE ?

Its still on here but not in my hands any more...

Re: F1 MOGGIE ?

has anyone taken a bog standard Moggie around a race track ? if so what was it like and how fast did you go ? mine wasnt bog standard but did have an a series under the bonnet though and at 100mph the steering felt very light due to the lack of aerodynamics and at just over that felt positively dan...

Re: supercharged 1275 home brew. anybody fancy a blown minor?

I know exactly what you mean, I used to love moments like that in it, it was even better with the side exit exhaust screaming at them as you went passed.

I have to admit to missing the little thing but I have moved on to pastures quicker.

Re: supercharged 1275 home brew. anybody fancy a blown minor?

CARPET???? Carpet? Next you'll be quitening the exhaust down, oh, you are, oh. Nice to see you are already making it your own. Its strange I sort of miss it but sort of dont at the same time, I loved it but once I'd got the engine blower reliable I lost interest. I do miss the look on peoples ...

Re: Keep Formula 1 'free to air' petition

yep that petition is a total waste of time as the little creep that owns the rights will sell to the highest bidder and damn the fans.

sad but true!

And he did state that he would never sell f1 rights to pay to view!

1098 recon bottom end

one of my customers has just bought a 55 split and it could do with a fresh bottom end. It has a later 1098 in already. I could rebuild it for him, but I would rather buy one from a good supplier at a sensible price and make a small job of it. Would be cheaper for the customer as well. Any suggestio...

Oh what to do? I am using and thinking about the moggy less and less each month. I still love it to bits and it makes me smile each time I drive it, but..... it just isn't as in my mind as some of my other toys. If somebody fancies taking on this project/ buying a tidy 2 door with many mods besides ...

the 1.8 cvh isn't a particularly nice engine for a start. If I remember the gearbox is not a type 9 but the later box and it is physically bigger.

The cvh will attach to a type 9 though.

I have often thought about doing a cvh conversion. Would be sweet with a 1.6 turbo!! from an rs turbo.

nintendo dsi

I know its well off topic but.

I have bought my little 7 year old girl a dsi for her birthday and am wondering what games to get her.

Does anyone on here have a girl of similar age that can make any recommendations?

I like both but for me standard looking with nicely modded running gear has to be the cats pyjamas.

I agree with the comment above - dodge the kits and get a fast minor.

Pete
I drive it just the same as my minor; with respect and care and obeying the law.

And as for dodge the kits and get a fast minor I already have one!

I have always fancied one of these and have just treated myself to this. Its tax exempt, runs a supercharged rover v8 and I love it to bits.

The moggy has been neglected for the last few days but not forgotten.

My supercharged moggy can run about 2 degrees more advance with octane booster in 97 fuel than it can on 95 fuel. And power wise its a noticeable difference. You do have to pick your 97 fuel wisely there are different qualities out there. And obviously there are huge differences in octane boosters, ...

aren't fj and flux linked?

Personally stuff a 1275 and discs on and tell the insurance company that you have no knowledge of the engine size and they will ask you for the bhp, guess at 60 and I would think you would get away with that.

I am a believer in eye for an eye and if someone deficates on you do it back worse but sometimes you know the aggro just isn't worth it.

As annoying as it is what I am going to suggest I think I am right. Just have it fixed and forget it! It is a £100 to £200 repair even if you go somewhere really expensive. If you claim it will be aggro, you may lose your no claims or use up a protected life. You will have to pay your excess and it ...
