Minor Monthly Late this Month
Hi All, This hasn't been mentioned on here until now. :) I've been buying Minor Monthly for a while and always look forward to the next issue. However, my newsagent failed to deliver the latest issue saying it hadn't beed published! A quick pm to Russ on here confirmed that Nicola has had an acciden...

Re: Cars don't seem important right now...
Hi and thanks for all the kind words. :) Better today, just a 'weak' shoulder. Not sure if that was from the impact or from forcing the drivers door open! *So far* paperwork going smoothly. Other driver has admitted liability. Been given a VW Toureg hire car while it's all sorted. 8) I'm hoping to p...

Cars don't seem important right now...
Hi All, As you may know I love cars, especially Minors, but they don't seem important at the moment. On my way to work this morning I was sideswiped by a driver taking a blind bend on MY side of the road. He claimed he had something in his eye!!!!!!!! The police who attended thought my car (Subaru I...

Thats where my two are anyhow!

Brooklands Morris Day - What date This Year?
Hi All,
Coming up to the time when the Morris/Austin Day is held at Brooklands Museum.
Anyone know the date? Normally early March.
A bit too far and a bit too expensive for me this year...............probably......!
Ta!

Lowered Car Ride Height - Measurements Needed
Hi All, Starting to set up the suspension on the latest project but need to know the height setting. I'm trying to get this as low as I sensibly can so........... Can those of you with lowered cars do me a favour and measure from the ground to the bottom of your front chassis legs by the eye-bolt mo...

Re: Using a Minor Everyday??
Hi and thanks for all the replies :D Very interesting. What kind of a drive is this 8 mile commute? Traffic all the way, empty A roads or a quick motorway blast? It's mainly on single track roads not much larger than farm tracks but they are used as a rat-run so hedge diving is a regular occurence.....

Using a Minor Everyday??
Hi All, Been thinking about this for a while..... With the increasing cost of fuel and my obvious liking for Morris Minors, I'm starting to think that perhaps a standard (ish) Minor is the best and cheapest way for me to have everyday transport. I know many of you use your cars everyday BUT how prac...

Re: Gearbox Transport Wanted - Lincs to Herts
Hi and thanks for the link Jeff!
Sadly, the seller has had trouble with couriers lately and is VERY reluctant to use them again (I have been there too....... ). Worst comes to the worst I will drive up there but it's not cheap in a Scooby (as you may know?!).

NOW SORTED! Gearbox Transport Wanted
Hi All, A long shot I know but is anyone from the Lincolnshire area coming down to Stansted airport area in the next couple of weeks? I have a gearbox for collection in Spalding but the guy doesn't trust couriers (He has had a hard time with couriers the last year or so). Is anyone willing and/or ab...

Pick-up Chassis Primer Recommendations.
Evening All, After a little advice. The chassis on my Pick-up project will soon ( ) be ready for paint. It may be that this will become my everyday car and so I need to paint the chassis to last. I was considering getting it galvanised but this seems to create more problems than it solves. So...

Traveller Cab Roof Seal Dimensions Required
Hi All,
Is someone able to do me a favour and measure the size of the 'T' shape seal that joins the cab to the rear roof on a traveller please? Height, width and thickness would be good.
Ta!

Another Flea-bay Question.......
Hi All, I have sold a lot of odds and ends (some mog stuff too) on the Bay lately and one guy has been a regular bidder and buyer. Problem is he relies on a work-mate to collect all the bits at once. He is in Cheshire and I'm in Hertfordshire. His last 'bid and buy' was over 2 months ago and I have ...

Re: Marina Disc Conversion - Bearing Question Again...
Hi, Thanks for all the replies. I removed the bearings with a bearing splitter and puller borrowed from work. Came off pretty easily really. The only casualty was one bearing which I caught with the puller! I have the number off the case so I'll try and get one rather than the whole set! BTW - I hav...

Marina Disc Conversion - Bearing Question Again...
Hi All, It's been a few years since I last tackled a set of Marina Disc brake conversion bearings and forgot what a pain they can be! I've removed the hub from the up-right and the back bearing and dust seal are still stuck on the stub axle. I need to remove the bearings in order to strip down the u...
