Electric Minor

Post by firedrake1942 »

I know that the electric minor has been discussed on the forum before, but this video, posted to the Uttlesford Branch Facebook page, is new to me and is quite an eye opener!

Fantastic - smart guy and it looks as though he’s done a great job on the conversion. Would be interesting to know what the cost is - I guess it will be on the company’s website.

He said ‘1098’ not 1048! And it’s probably what was in the car at the point they converted it. I actually thought he spoke knowledgably about the Minor. We shouldn’t expect everyone to be an absolute Minor anorak!!

Pity it won't have that iconic, satisfying exhaust note! I suppose they could sample it and fit a sound system to play it back as required

They don't update the website very often, but there is more action on the Facebook page.

I'm still waiting for them to release their "kit" to market. Sincerely hope that is going to happen.

Its a great start, congratulations to the man.
He recognises that 45 miles per charge will need to be bettered but all credit to him.

I’m sure that a few decades from now someone will be welding a moggie upper shell onto the pan of a scrap Tesla.

There is another company that have done a VW Beetle and an E-Type I believe, with Tesla-esque range (200+ miles).

Of course that's getting on for £20,000 worth of battery!
68' 4-door Saloon, another 'Monty'.
