Hi Everyone
I’ve had my Moggie for 17 yrs. used it everyday until my job ment driving 1hr 40 mins each way to work. It’s been in a dry(ish) barn for the last 10yrs until now, when I think it needs to be back on the road.
At the moment the starter is stuck, but after this long I didn’t expect to even get to that point. The underside will be getting a look over very soon. I’m hopeful there isn’t too much by way of welding to be done, but we will see. I always had previous work done by a minor specialist, so box sections etc replaced rather than patched over. We will see.
Expecting to need underside welding doing, can anyone recommend a cage to make things easier.
Once I get it going (and stopping!) the structural work will be the priority, assuming it isn’t condemned by my pal when he has a close look underneath.
Reading around the forum there seems to be a lot of enthusiastic and knowledgeable people on here.
I hope I get her up and safely on the road in the near future.

Hi Palacebear.
Heres a few examples of the initial work to be done, after I get the wheels turning, brakes stopping and engine at least thinking about turning. It mostly seems to be on the off side, I had quite a bit of work done on the near side , which seems to be ok. Thing is, I’m thinking that was quite recent, it was however about 19 years ago! It has been in a dry barn for most of the time since however.
