Re: Help to Convert to Alternator
You can fit any size alternator up to the power delivery rating of the V-belt (don't forget the water pump also absorbs power). More conservative sizes would be my recommendation.
However, fitting (physically) may not be easy or even possible. Bracket kits are available for the usual replacements (check out the usual parts suppliers). There may be charge limits for the battery fitted and a high powered alternator would definitely need a larger connection wire. Even an ammeter, if fitted, might limit the maximum practical power.
Control unit? The alternator will have its own automatic votage controller (AVC).
I am not quite understanding why you have two threads running together. One on alternator and one on dynamo
You partook in a previous thread regarding battery sizing, etc only just a few months ago. Perhaps time to revisit that?

Ha..Ha... Thank you reply - Not going to use the two - i still have dynamo , I hope it change to Alternator . because dynamo seem to be not good for long trip and for long time battery.
Whatever , if anyone can tell me what is the best size Amp battery for morris , many thanks.

Sandun,
I use a 45 Ah battery and it seems fine. Fit the biggest battery you can find that does not collide with the heater valve should you have a heater installed in your climate.
Regards
Declan

Sandun,
The 45 Ah is fine in warm weather. If I had room I would have fitted a larger one.
I have an alternator-not a dynamo.
