Having now mounted the recently purchased 1275cc 'A' Plus on the engine build stand - I considered it unwise to leave the engine suspended by just the four studs fitted into the rear of the block because of the possibility of distortion occurring to the rear of the block during the long term re-build of the engine.
To take the loading off the four studs at the rear I made up a front support which is quickly removable to enable the engine to be turned.
Having the engine mounted on the stand allows me to dip and out of the engine re-build and to easily move the engine around the workshop.
