Never slam the door with the keys in!

Post by BrianHawley »

Never let anyone slam the door with the keys in the lock.

Somebody walking past helpfully slammed my door and the key fob took a nice chip out of the paint.

Many years since I did the door slam on my mini. The keys jumped out and fell down a roadside drain. I was a bit fed up about it .

Keyless start is not for the over 40's.

Start car and realise you have left your wallet in the house and return to get wallet, leave car running with wife in passenger seat.

Then, arriving at your destination and the obligatory perusal through the pockets to find you have left said keys at home in the porch.

I was also a little fed up at this point.

I sometime think manufacturers inflict these so called innovations on us due to a malicious sense of fun. Realised quite a while ago that most of this stuff was b*ll*cks when we were trading in cars before we had ever pushed 50% of the buttons.
Just about to have a rant about stop starts and electronic hand brakes but It's getting repetitive :D
