Thanks guys :D

Just been in the workshop today. A nice puddle of antifreeze under the engine. Looks like its coming from the the water pump. I taken the pump off. It's hard to see but the seal looks damaged inside. I'll pop my spare pump on next week and will try again.

Oh wow what a transformation overall appearance just by the wheel colour .

The rest all looks good but its like a finishing touch with the wheels...

Yeah the wheels were definitely the right choice colour wise. The tyres popped on nice and easy aswell. Next year il be stripping the varnish off the wood and treating it properly. Il probably always be doing bits on her.

Iv just been doing the fiddly little jobs. Iv roughly tacked the rear headlining in. Iv set the tracking I hope. Fitted the battery clamp which was very annoying as the mounts arnt long enough. I will order some longer ones bot have made some spacers for now. Iv just bought the glue for the carpet today. It's gonna be fun fitting the bits that go on the inner sills as the carpet won't bend that much. Will probably have to score it or something. Iv also fitted the elephant trunk for the heater.

I'm not gonna be posting much now as il be working on my other passion soon after iv mot'd the moggie. Hopefully will get back to the moggie July time. I didn't realise how much iv neglected the landy. It will be different using the moggie instead of the landy.

I would use different grades of wire wool to sand the wood gives a better finish :)

Best of luck - not that you will need it with al that hard work. The number plates look fab and sooooooo much nicer than those tacky modern plastic ones. Let us know the result !

Its passed no advisories aswell! Drives lovely and didn't miss a beat. Taxed it at the post office as well they're sending the logbook off. Mot the landy then I can start on the interior.

Yeah really happy. It was nice going through Dunster where all the grockels were taking pictures of it. Loads of people were looking and smiling aswell.

Mostly got the interior done. Seats have been re stuffed. Went over the top a little bit with 3 inch foam, I made the straps out of seat webbing. They're nice and comfortable now. Almost sitting to high.
Got the carpets in. Just need to do around the gear lever. Headlining needs fitting properly. Still need to order a couple of bits.
The choke sticks on so you have to open it under the bonnet. Hopefully just needs stripping and cleaning tho it looks to be tampered with.
Still need a fuel sender. I ran out of fuel today. Luckily I had a gallon with me. Iv done 174 miles on one tank. Which is 27 mpg. Not bad considering iv only done short journeys in 2nd and 3rd mainly and the choke was stuck on to begin with. Apart from that it's going well.

Still need to sort some spares out to carry and get some new parts for my old distributor to carry as a spare.

I too have the same sticky choke thing.
Im going to fit a pull off spring [the same sort of thing the throttle has ] but weaker .

A spring won't do it for mine. It jams. Could fit my spare carb but its off a 950cc engine. Also need to change my head gasket aswell but im putting it off due to the quality of the replacement ones. Its only leaking oil.

Smithy just been out to look at it again and stripped the carb the abit. Got it moving smoothly inside the carb tho was still sticking sometimes so iv fitted a spring to the arm. Only a soft one. It now returns no trouble. Where it wasn't returning before was causing the outer of the choke cable to get stuck where it sits. Which must be causing the jamming iv been experiencing. Could do with a twist choke cable now tho as it pulls it in slightly. Tho I could use peg thinking about it.

Thanks for mentioning that, it gave me something else to check and I now understand the choke part of the carb. Another thing ticked off the list.
