Is your new jelly mould Peat in colour ? I have a 1970 two door Peat . Fairly unusual --I think !

Oh dear. What a pain. So.......new battery, new dynamo and new control box! Assuming they are all good, the next thing would be to check for poor connections in the associated wiring - sometimes elusive!
Try loosening the dynamo bolts and removing the fan belt. Then open the control box and, with ignition on, press down the cut-out contact (i.e. the right hand of the two contacts as you face the car). The dynamo should run briskly as a motor. If it does, then it is OK and you can look elsewhere.
It may be worth checking your fan belt tightness - may have slackened since you fitted the dynamo??

Thanks will try looking at the dyno tomorrow if it stops raining! Be great if it was the fan belt.
The new saloon is rose taupe, bit of a winter project it was too good to miss in the local paper, have been looking for a traveller again, but the prices!!
