The standard 1098cc engine is fitted with 3/8" wide cam lobes and pin drive from the camshaft to oil pump so if standard you are limited in the selection of oil pumps.
If you are intending to re-build the engine it may be beneficial to change the camshaft to one with 1/2" wide cam lobes which give a better selection of oil pumps and oil pump drives.
You can mix and match the oil pump drive shafts and the preferred oil pump drive shaft is one with a woodruff key fitted between the shaft and oil pump rotor.
One of the problems with modern pumps is that the oil pump rotor is just pressed onto the drive shaft and when the oil is cold it is so thick that the drive shaft may then rotate without rotating the pump rotor which will lead to engine failure
The oil pump does not have to produce great oil pressures because oil max pressure is limited by the oil pressure relief valve to 60lb/in sq.
Volume of oil flow is what you want.
A good all round oil pump is the 1275cc Cooper S pin drive oil pump. I converted one of those to suit a small block engine by changing and modifying the drive shaft and the outside of the pump body. Whilst I had to drill and tap the block to accommodate the different securing bolts it is not that difficult to do, most modern variations of the Cooper S pump have enough securing bolt holes to accommodate being fitted to small and large block engines and pre 'A' Plus and 'A' Plus engines.
Here is the Calver link to oil pump information.

Here is a link to one of the better performing oil pumps but it is expensive:-

It has to be remembered that the engine has to be removed to gain access to the oil pump.
Main and big end condition will have a great bearing  on the ability of the pump to create good oil pressure.
Below is photo of Cooper S oil pump (Pt No: AEG410 - pin drive) I modified to fit a small block 'A' Series engine.
