Hi does anyone stock replacement coil springs for the window winder mechanism one of mine is broken just need to replace the spring

I've checked ESM for you, they don't keep the spring, Google a few more suppliers just in case, looking unlikely though.

If the spring isn't available on its own there are surely sufficient secondhand regulators around?

Yes that's true you can get new and second hand mechanisms but if they produce new ones how come they will not just sell a spring it seems a shame to scrap a good winder mechanism for the sake of a cheap spring

Well it's possible, though unlikely, you can get the spring but you need to do some serious searching. I doubt a separate spring would be cheaper than a decent complete assembly in any event. I agree though, it's nice to just replace the worn part, if you can.

Looks like it's off to Newark auto jumble on Sunday ,weather permitting
