DOOR MIRROR REPLACEMENT GLASS

Post by BIGRAB »

Just took the cover off the car and for no reason the passenger door mirror glass fell out and smashed, mirror head still tight and secure.
Had a look online for just the glass without success, mirror head is perfect hence seems a waste having to buy the complete head.
Anyone know if you can just buy the glass ??

Door mirror is the chrome round type which screw onto the door.

Morris Minors don't have door mirrors as standard so it will depend on what make of mirror you have fitted. I have a round door mirror fitted to my Minor but since it only cost about £15.00 for the whole thing, I doubt the glass is available separately. How was your glass held in?

That was the puzzling thing.

No sign of any adhesives, only round full size thin foam inserts behind the glass.

I'm assuming the outer edge of the chrome was pressed slightly inwards and held the glass in place.
