South Wales Morris Minor Spring Run 2010
I have posted this event elsewhere on this forum and so far have had excellent responce from the members here.
Last year I organised a Spring run along the Welsh/English border (The Wye Valley). At the time only 3 Morris Minors managed to take part. After hearing what a great time we had our South Wales branch asked if I could organise another one for 2010.
So on the 25th April (National Drive It Day) I am organising another go. After advertising it in our Minor Matters and here on the forum numbers have risen to almost 20. Most vehicles will be Morris Minors but a few have expressed that they might use another classic car, and we have 2 coming along with there modern cars as they are awaiting to have their Morris's on the road.
Entry is free but if you let me know via my email santadawes@hotmail.com giving me their make and registration then I can reserve you a space. I have also sourced goodie bags for the ones we know are booked into this event. I can also send you a route and timetable so if you want to join us along route you will be most welcome
I have also got some footage here on youtube.

Although we had a great day we can't organise the weather.

Re: South Wales Morris Minor Spring Run 2010
I'm not sure if the route is going this way. I thought it was M4 to Newport and then on to Chepstow. If I'm wrong and it is going via Pontypool, then I'm guessing it's going via Ystrad Mynach and Crumlin? If so, I could join the run at Pontllanfraith?millerman wrote:Add me as well, meet in Little Mill Village Hall Car park??????

Re: South Wales Morris Minor Spring Run 2010
Is there any reason why the itinerary can’t be posted on here (The only thing I could think of is that it allows people to just turn up, unannounced, on the day, which can be a pain if too many people do it ).

Re: South Wales Morris Minor Spring Run 2010
If I don't see you at the Barn, I'll see you at J28 (Tredegar Park). I think the road you're taking is the one that goes off at about 2 O clock relative to the M4 (Along the perimeter wall of Tredegar Park)?? It doesn't make a lot of difference to me but I know my way better to Tredegar Park than Llantrissant (I knew the old road through Llantwit Fadre and Talbot Green, though I've not been down that way in a long while....so it could have changed).

Re: South Wales Morris Minor Spring Run 2010
That sounds great. there's a bus stop just outside the park gates on the round a bout just as the road splits at the A48 and the Newport SDR road. We should get there aprox 11.30/11.45am. ish.
