Bought a 1300 metro alternator from a motor salvage dealer, in supposed working order.
Have fitted it and followed the idiots guides but on the back of this alternator is the normal two large and one small lug, PLUS diagonally opposite is a single small lug.
I get no ignition light and with engine running there is only a 12 volt reading across terminals.

If I remember rightly the small lug is for the ignition, and it connects to the brown wire with the yellow tracer from the control box. (There are two you need the small one, which goes to the ignition warning light.)
As you probably know the car has to be negative earth for the alternator conversion.
