Hey all,
Along with my usual box of car parts in the utility room, I usually keep a couple of sparer flasher units handy when in need.
The last unit lasted about 5 weeks, and the flasher unit I seem to need (or originally came with the car) is one I can only find on Amazon, and it's one of the more expensive units. Pearl Automotive often only have a couple in stock anyway, so if I want a couple of extra I have to wait and check back every few days.
There are other lovely, two pinned, cheaper flasher units floating around, albeit with different wattages and so forth. Has anyone here had any success with using a different unit? Would my Nelly just blink a little faster?
Thanks in advance, 'cause few people seem to understand turning signals by hand anymore.

I don't think it's worth messing about, ESM can supply the correct one, and if you order before 3 pm you'll get it tomorrow.

Correct used flasher units can be found at any autojumble for £2 or less.
