Petrol Tank Locating Self Tapping Srews

Post by Peted7202 »

My tank is a Low Top type secured in place by self-tapping screws. Does anyone know the size of these?

Whatever fits....?
The size isn't given on the ESM website. They give it part number 10G257, whereas the original part number in the AKD 3541 is PTZ 804.

Both sources agree it's the same screw as used around the bottom of the gearstick gaiter; however there is a discrepancy in that ESM say the tank requires 14 screws, while the AKD say 18.....

If you search for PTZ804, it comes up a fair bit in classic British Car use, occasionally as SCREW-SELF TAPPING,PAN HEAD-No.8 x 1/2'' .
