hi,ive just got myself some wing mirrors but before i drill holes in the wings is there a set place to put them? sounds like a silly question i know but thought id ask before drilling matt

But as a rough guide only, the wing mirrors on my saloon are 240mm from the wing front (behind the headlamp bezel) and 110mm out from the bonnet/wing "gap*
Sit in the car and get an assistant to hold the mirrors in position for best view. Note positions. Use masking tape where the holes are to be and start off with a small pilot hole. Paint the bare steel immediately after drilling and don't forget to treat the underside.

i find door mirrors a lot more effective

Seconded - I find the wing mirrors are only any use as ornaments - but maybe that's what you want, or maybe you find them useful.
