Seats & Wings

Post by sidsmith »

:( ...........From series 2 onwards is there any difference to moggy wings and front seats between models. Can they be interchanged between models, and is it really neccesary to have the adjusting front drivers seat, or could I bolt a passenger seat in instead. your comments would be welcome.

You don't need to have an adjustable drivers seat - unless you need to adjust it.

If you mean 'after series 2' i.e. For all the Morris 1000s:
The wings are very similar but there are small differences in the holes for the lights, and can be interchanged if you ingore that.

If you meant for Series 2 and Minor 1000s:
There are differences to the seats but they can be interchanged. The early seriess 2 wings are different as the sidelights are mounted in the grille panel, and of course the grille panel is different shape.

seats & wings

.Cheers ray, on mungo he has 2 sets of holes where the frontseats bolt to , so it seems that the adjustment on the drivers seat is for the upright piece, therefore seeing as the back upright leather piece of mine is holed I will just replace it with a passenger seat and adjust the distance from the steering wheel using the floor bolt holes.
cheers mate .
