No, Dizzi! NOT PINK! EVIL... I have been thinking and I'm not sure what the colour is called, but its a dark-ish blue... and I love it on all the cars, epecially a convertable with a white/cream hood! My mission is to one day have all the 'car' minors in that colour! I also love the marron colour on the trav, but only when it's aged!

If there were just one colour to choose it would have to be black. But I also think Old English White, marroon and dark blue look good on travellers and convertibles. I don't like the light blues, greys and brown.

Unfortunately there is not button for this.

John
I asked the paintshop for a couple of cans of paint in exactly this colour. But they wouldn't sell it to me for a price that I wanted to pay for it!

There were 350 Morris Minors painted pink in the factory. A prize to anyone who can guess in which year they were all painted?

I've been thinking about painting Daisy sky-blue, then adding fluffy white clouds, with grass & daisies 'growing' from the sills.

Hopefully not REAL grass & daisies, although with the state of her bodywork, that might be possible too :-?

I am with Ray on this one webeditor as regards the colour but is it a trick question as the 1,000,000 minor was produced on 22nd December 1960 then taking into account factory shutdown periods over the holiday period I assume thet were not actually painted until the new year, making it 1961 that was the Lilac year

My old gal wears Yukon Grey, which I think is very close to Clarendon Grey, however I don't think it was used alot. Shes a 1960 948, It's her original colour as shown on the original sales receipt!

According to inside sources at Cowley, "Lilac" is actually Greek-Cypriot for Pink. But no more clues!

I could completely throw a spanner in the works and say how about FORD MEADOW GREEN! I know its not a proper morris minor colour but I like it and so does 'Pidge' (why do I personify my car - its an inaminate object) LOL.

Perhaps we should re-run the poll with the full range of colours available from 48 to 71, maybe add in interior styles Andy colours to really complicate things. I can't really believe the trafalgar blue is the best colour. Probably the most common colour but possibly not the best ?

I do love the way that old topics suddenly surface :D This poll was started almost ten years ago by someone who I believe no longer frequents the board. In the opening paragraph he stated: " This isn't an exhaustive list on every single Minor paint colour, but most of the ones from the Topic started by brixtonminor"; so even then it was a "second hand" topic :o

That said, it is interesting to see what colours are now being suggested, and it would be nice to know how (if) preferences have changed over time. Keep the ideas flowing.
