Transporting

Post by simmitc »

I have seen numerous requests for advice on moving something (such as an awkwardly shaped or heavy component, or even a complete car). I recently had to get a 2.3 tonne boat (just over the limit to tow with the Minor :o ) about 600 miles. Quotes were coming in very expensively, then I found a web site called Shiply where you post details of what you want moved, and various transport specialists submit bids to do the job. You are free to accept or reject whichever you like. Each trader has a feedback system similar to Ebay, so you can see how well they perform. I got a very favourable quote, so if anyone needs to move a car, engine, axle, or whatever, I would suggest giving the site a try. Here's a link: http://www.shiply.com/rf/RIW5EWFIOW/
