Manchester Bus Museum 22nd Febuary

Post by Trickydicky »

Hi, anybody attending this event? http://www.gmts.co.uk
Last year it was a good day out. Highly recommended, they do a fine bacon buttie in the cafe :D
A few of us from the Leeds Branch will be attending.

There is limited space so only pre-booked entries are guaranteed space inside the museum - if you just turn up you may have to park outside on the street where again space is limited - but everyone is welcome.

It's always a good do - I will be there but only as a visitor as my Trav is not on the road yet.

How might one "pre-book" ?

Didn't prebook last year. We parked on the roundabout outside , you can get 5 or 6 cars on there.

As with any event it is best to contact the organiser - full details are in Minor Matters, I am quite a distance from my copy so can't help - sorry

Another great day out with the Manchester Branch, thanks for organising another fine event. It was just a shame about the weather for the Bus ride on the Routemaster.
A few pic's[frame]Image[/frame]
Leeds Branch in there usual parking spot [frame]Image[/frame]
View of the cars from the top deck[frame]Image[/frame]
Good turn out of cars[frame]Image[/frame]
And finally to the star of the show, this young man fixing Stephs car which had to be towed to the event due to a blown head gasket, with a little advice from the audience  he stripped it down and replaced the gasket. I would have shook his hand but his hands were dirty.......
The repair was tested with a trip back across the Pennines in convoy with the Leeds Branch.
All in all a good day out :D

Oh you flatter me...

Here we are stopped on the M62 after it blew
We also lost a core plug at the same time, which we didn't realise until refilling the rad.

Thanks to Ian from the Jorvik branch without whom Steph might still be in Manchester! And to everyone who lent tools, torches, and advice![frame]Image[/frame]
