Red light on the dash

Post by rayofleamington »

When your charging light comes on solid when it is very late at night (it's dark) you are very tired and the car is going for an MOT in the morning DONT check to see if the fanbelt is still on with the engine running

because if the fanbelt is ok, you may end up saying 'ouch my fingers really hurt' (or words to that effect)

Now tend to look at running engines with hands in pockets cos I don't trust myself.
Well I looked at the car the day after, including using a multimeter on the dynamo but it took 10 times lonfger than normal as I was hyper-paranoid about anything going near the fan.
