All users of this messageboard should see the thread tucked away in the 'Do you know' area.

Sadly, we have lost our most prolific (by far) contributor.

I, for one, will miss his contributions greatly.

Don

Moderators: I know that in a sense this is a duplication, but I think it is only reasonable that we give Roy the prominence on this messageboard that he has earned.

Very sad.

Never miss a chance to get fun out of your car and from life.

We never know what will happen tomorrow.

No argument from me. I exchanged many a message with him on all sorts of things, and am pleased to have counted him as a friend, even if we never met.

Very sad news.

The club will be contacting Roy's family to both pass on condolences and to recognise Roy's incredible and prolific contribution to the messageboard over many years.

Sad news, although I knew he was not well. We had a lot of lively discussions and chats via pm over the years about some interesting topics, including "ghastly" headlight peaks and cooking his Quorn sausages on a shovel. His wealth of Minor knowledge and expertise will be missed here. My condolences to his family. [frame]Image[/frame]

A trophy named after him would be nice gesture.

No, I'd thought perhaps a coil mounted on a Wolseley drum.

Absolutely a coil trophy for the best everyday car as he wasn't a fan of the concours. Maybe an MMOC t-shirt with 'It's never the coil' slogan and his name

I'd like to extend my condolences please.
I purchased a few items from him and found
him to be friendly and informative.
I enjoyed reading his contributions to the site and community.

Really sad news, again I never knew him personally, but in the nearly 3 years I have been a member he has made a fair few contributions to my Minor. One of the great real engineers.

Sincere condolences to his family, RIP Roy.

This is very sad news.

I always enjoyed his posts and good humour. A sad loss from this community.
I always think of him when I see a Minor with Peaks, I shall even more so from now on.

My thoughts are with Roy's family at this difficult time.
