I have just fitted the single row arrangement with tensioner - from a Mini engine. Fits on fine - need to use the bigger timing cover of course, and need to drill one hole in the frontplate for the head of the tensioner swivel to seat into. Also there is a hole missing for one clamp bolt - I am leaving this out for now - if troublesome easily drilled through - it's an extra bolt and nut just below the dynamo. Otherwise - goes straight on. Reason for doing this ? i was stealing the duplex off my spare Minor engine for use in a hot Mini engine !
back to the original poster - is the car now running ?

This is a picture of my sprockets (duplex):
Have you got the oil thrower on the crank pulley on the right way?

Book says "concave side forward".
Cheers, Axolotl.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.
