what is this , for what - Rediator

Hi all of my friends .

The bottom of the rediator has small tap and other side a big bolt ( right side of the pic )? Tap for drain water - But what for the bolt ? It is can not remove .

It is for the heater pipe to attach on early cars before the heater pipe joined into the bottom hose as it does in your picture. This change came about during the late 1950s Minor 1000 production.

It look likes a bolt , cant remove ?

Yes, The heater take-off is replaced with a blanking plug on the later cars which don't require it and later still, the radiators had no hole there at all. Why are you trying to remove it? If you force it you will probably do damage to the fragile brass tank.

No i am not going to remove it - but , it was a problem to me, why it has bolt head - it is ok now Thank you.
