Glove box modifications

I noticed an article on here about installing a stronger magnetic catch on the later morris minor passenger glove box. I had already discovered this when looking at ways to improve the lid. I also turned mine into a shelf, which I did by drilling two holes in line with the lids brackets, through the metal lip which runs all the way under the dashboard & fitting long bolts, each with two nuts to adjust the bolts to stick out the exact length to support the glove box lid horizontally. So the head of each bolt rests on the brackets, supporting the lid.
I found it really useful for the odd occassion when maybe sitting in a carpark having on the go food. A passenger friend used it to roll cigarettes.
I also glued rubber sheeting on the inside of the lid for having a better surface to put things.
The picture shows where I had fitted the bolts, however the idea got overridden when I installed a radio beneath the glove box area. With a mixture of luck & skill the radio is positioned just right to provide the same support that the bolts previously did.
I hope that all makes sense. A small improvement, but anything to make life easier eh.
I had pictures, but it looks like adding them doesn't work for me. Maybe I'll add them trying a laptop computer later, if there's any interest.
