I don't have a photo of it available, but I wondered whether there's any place within the door where one might find a tan brown leather strap (from memory about 2.5cm * 25cm).

Last time I was working in my doors (2022 probably) I found a leather strap at the bottom of one, no idea if it's meant to be on something or how it got there but I keep forgetting to ask about it on here to see if it did serve some purpose.

So I finally found the photos I'd taken of the leather strap (front and back): So, any ideas of whether it's meant to be a part of the internal door frame/mechanisms or not?
