Hi, Has anyone had any experience in fitting Saftek brake shoes please? I note from their web site they say that their shoes give better braking performance. I was considering upgrading with discs brakes but if Saftek gives a reasonable improvement I will consider that as an option.
Bill.

Yes, I fitted some when I changed my front brakes to Riley 1.5 nine-inch drums. They do work well enough but the effect isn't as dramatic as I'd hoped. Problem is that, in common with most others I imagine, I'm judging their effectiveness against the servo'd disc set ups on all modern cars and that's the equivalent of taking a bow and arrows to a gunfight.
