Club of the Year Award

Club of the year

The Presentation Announcement

To qualify for this award, you need a consistent presence during the year, not just a one of big splash. And whichever classic show you went to this year, you were guaranteed to see one of these cars. Obviously it helps if your chosen model has a big birthday this year - and is something of a British institution. And you can add in an epic overseas jaunt for good measure.

But the people who drive these cars are made of stern stuff. A gaggle of them braved the rain - tops down- on last weekend's Lord Mayor's Show (on which they've become a fixture as well), and every year they build a brilliant stand at this event, with this year being no exception.

Club of the Year goes to the Morris Minor Owners Club.

Congratulations and thanks to all the people who organised the many events that gave the club such a high profile this year.

Best Club Run/Rally

This year, probably more than ever, has featured some cracking road runs. We liked the idea of the Volvo Enthusiasts' Reliability Challenge - not that you'd expect anything other than reliability from a Volvo. And out runner-up featured some fantastic scenic drives around Scotland - on the Diamler & Lanchestre Owners' Club International Rally.

This year's winner, though, was a proper marathon. It may only have been a small group of cars, but they went one hell of a way - 11,000 miles in fact, staring from the foot of Africa, driving up via the Sahara and ending 72 days later at the 60th Anniversaryparty for the cars they were driving.

Our winner is the epic Morris Minor Owners Club Mad Odyssey.
