Limited Edition Corgi Model

The MMOC have teamed up with Marie Curie Cancer Care in a joint celebration of 60 years of the Morris Minor and 60 Years of the Marie Curie Charity. Throughout 2008, the club will be involved in fund raising activities just as we did back in 1998 when a grand total of £35,000 was raised.

The main focus of attention this year will be on the Million Mile Challenge and the Club Car, a white four door saloon which is set to be bedecked in thousands of self adhesive daffodil stickers, Each sticker represents a donation to Marie Curie and already over £ 1 350 has been donated as a result of the sales undertaken by custodians of the car, David Brown and Janet Arnold.

In an effort to raise yet more funds for Marie Curie, representatives of the MMOC and Marie Curie have been in discussions with Corgi with a view to producing a limited edition run based on the Club Car. We are pleased to announce that 2,000 certificated models are being produced and will be available for sale in March 2008. Each model will come in a specially designed box carrying the logos for the sixty years celebration for both the MMOC and Marie Curie. In an effort to replicate the fund raising activity with the car a special set of miniature daffodiis will be enclosed with each model. This will provide collectors with the option of decorating the car or ieaving it packaged as sold.

650 models will be available from Marie Curie outlets while the remaining 1350 will be sold by the MMOC. For each model sold by the club a contribution of £1 will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care. The cost of the model will be £10.00, Postage and packing, if required will be £2.50, The models will be available at events where the real car is in attendance, MMOC events where regalia is being sold, via Mail Order from the Club website and via future Regalia forms in Minor Matters.

This model is destined to be a sell out so why not place your order for a unique model and support a worthwhile cause at the same time.
