Pearl Grey
The letters by Dave Gilliam and Robert Wynn (Minor Matters May/June 2021) in response to mine in the previous issue tend to confirm the rarity of surviving Pearl Grey cars. Ever since it was first issued
in 2004, it has puzzled me why, of all the commoner colours used for these cars, Pearl Grey was used by Lledo Vanguards (Corgi) for the third of their special edition MM1000 convertibles, No VA07102.
It was quite fortuitous that I bought a car of this colour in Florida, but I am very pleased I did. The appearance of the car
is markedly different in different lights and different angles, with the pearl effect mimicking a pearl necklace.

Uxbridge
Our classic car club, from Uxbridge, took our cars along to the Stoke Poges Flower and Produce show in July. Returning
to my Traveller in our display, I saw a
chap chatting to our Chairman and got
to the end of their conversation. After a
few exchanges the question of a trophy
was mentioned and I thought they were referring to one I had recently received from our club for best vehicle in the 1970s class but I had won the trophy there for best vehicle! This was among MGs, a Jaguar XK140 and a Daimler to name but a few! How proud my little Traveller was and so was I.

After the success of the series of postcards bearing photographs of Minors I thought that you might be interested in this rare set of four Railway Posters featuring our favourite car.
