BMC and BL Rally
The Coventry and Warwicks branch is
very fortunate to have such wonderful support, and we are very appreciative. For our second annual branch rally, the good people at the British Motor Museum – aka Gaydon – allocated us the west overflow carpark that is a prime position at the BMC and BL Rally. The great thing about holding our rally at this event is not just the readily available attractions and facilities, but also the variety of vehicles on display.
The amazing turnout of nearly 60 cars, made possible by the support of members from branches near and far, special thanks to the Avon and North Wales contingents who made the longest journeys to support us. The weather was especially kind, and everyone had a great day catching up with friends old and new. A lovely variety of Minors graced us with their presence, and the voting ran close for the Best Minor, that was won by Tony Bourne with his stunning Traveller. A close second was Helen Keeves with her replica rally saloon ‘Cynthia’.
Gaydon itself reached its ‘Covid capacity’ and while there may have been a queue
at the start, a wide selection of clubs and vehicles from vintage to modern made for a very enjoyable day out. We’ve already been invited back next year and everyone is welcome to join us.
