My new 8 inch drums needed machining no quite round . Never had a problem even with a full load and a lot of hills in France this year . I like to drive as safe and as fast as the car will go best speed on sat nav this year 75MPH .

Change the oil every 3000/5000 miles ,should be no problem . My modern car I change every 30000 for that I use special oil recommended never had a problem.

Now I have a 1275cc engine my upgraded drums from 7 to 8 inch stops the car much better can lock all the wheels up if I press hard enough

My upgrade was done by ESM they tried my 1275 clutch and MG flywheel ,1st and 4th gear were difficult to get and the clutch was heavy . They made the changes the car now very good . It was also fitted with a 1098 refurbished carb

I have a 1275 engine the MG flywheel and clutch was to stiff and gear 1 and 4 were difficult so it was finished with a modified marina flywheel and 1098 clutch . The only other changes were the 948 to 1098 diff and a refurbished 1098 carb goes well
