Re: Lucy my morris minor
Interesting! The traveller was owned originally by a wholesalers in Ashford and used for transporting goods, particularly TVs apparently. Hopefully my photos are OK and include the Peat convertible which appears to be Rose Taupe as it had been given a back street blowover by someone who had issues m...

Re: Lucy my morris minor
Hopefully a couple of pics . of my Moggie attached . She ( always she ) was bought new by my uncle in 1970 . When he passed away we found her in his garage as an MOT failure . Fair bit of work been done - and still needs attention in various areas . Similar to you I have loads of original docs etc....

Re: DPD224J
Hi I seem the recall Surrey Police had Trafalgar Blue cars rather than the usual Bermuda Blue, but I'm not sure where I heard that. PD was a number issued in Surrey and Surrey Police HQ is in Guildford. I also knew a car locally that was bought new from Wadhams in Guildford which was also DPD. The a...

Re: Last Traveller
POMMreg is working on the Adderley Park Travellers, he will almost certainly be interested in the chassis body , engine numbers etc and has been trying to establish change points- e.g. when the steering lock was intorduced and when the engine colour changed from green to black. I know someone who ha...

Good to see an Island car still on the Island! Have you joined the Island Branch of the MMOC yet? If not, you should receive a warm welcome.

Re: Late Travellers COT 796K, COT 800K & COR 426K
Hants regns(?) Your are correct Chris, in fact, all three cars were registered in Winchester. In those days at the registration office at The Castle, Winchester, which is still the HQ for Hampshire County Council. No doubt, COT 796K would be a good example for your late traveller chassis/body/engin...

Re: Lost v5 need advice on registering
I've just tried to register a 69 2 Door without success since the end of June. The registration mark is known as there was a number plate on it. I had checked the DVLA site and the car did not show so I phoned them and they told me to submit an application which I did immediately. It appears it is n...

Re: Is there a Stewart and Ardern archive?
The other problem with Stewart and Ardern is that it was the sole London distributor for Morris cars. (Gordon Stewart was a friend of William Morris). As I understand it, the cars were delivered to Acton - the distribution centre - from the factories and then may have ended up with smaller independe...

What about the Cornwall Morris Minor Club? Not part of the MMOC (a historical thing) and have been going for many years:

Re: Minor repairs
Maurice Rapley has been in business for a long time and from what I've seen of his welding work is nothing less than excellent. I called in when I was in the area about a year ago and we had a long chat.

OE White Traveller JWC 902C
Although this car is not on the DVLA website, I thought I'd post this just in case it still exists. I have acquired a pile of service sheets for it, so if you own it, please feel free to contact me by PM. The chassis no is quoted as MAW5(D) 1093793. The history file dates from 1966 to 68 when it was...

Take a look at this, by Neil MG, he covered virtually every repair - we all like pictures on here, so, if possible put some on here, you should get plenty of responses!

As a branch, (Hampshire) we get together and take one car and split the costs. We don't use the NEC official car parks, we park in the Railway station car park which is cheaper. They have a multi storey there. We take sandwiches etc but always stop en route and have a cooked breakfast to keep us goi...

Late Travellers COT 796K, COT 800K & COR 426K
If anyone knows where these cars are, or have seem them, I'd be interested to hear about them out of curiosity. I believe all were first registered in Winchester. 796 is Limeflower - I know it belonged to a Lancashire Branch member and I believe it was last in the Blackpool area but was sold a coupl...
