Re: Where's Roy?

Thank you for informing us of that sad news Neil.

Roy was certainly a very big character who loved to share his expertise. I am sure we will all sorely miss his honest no nonsense but helpful postings. My thoughts go out to his family.

Re: Blue Morris Minor Traveller Stolen in London

:( Bella so sorry to hear your Traveller has been stolen. Sorry I am not likely to come across it up here but will keep an eye open anyway. No doubt you have already scoured your local streets, back lanes and hidden garages etc. to make sure they have not parked it up somewhere for a short spell to ...

It's no good you won't get a book that way! :D

Keep up the good work POMMReg - hope you keep receiving vehicle numbers and we look forward to the book when it's ready.

I also filled out the survey but I hated some of their tick list answers to their questions. Do complete this survey if you have time but be aware the last few questions are about personal info and they don't let you skip them!

Re: London T-Charge

Oh not another charge! Thanks for the posting, thankfully I don't drive into central London if I can avoid it (not always possible of course). I couldn't find a link either but then found the Mayor of London page:- https://www.london.gov.uk/press-releases/mayoral/mayor-unveils-action-plan-to-battle-...

Roy your mate must have been the envy of you all? What a great experience for him but also for your railway to have such a famous visitor.

Thanks Blaketon, shall look forward to your piccies - unless of course you find you're too excited to take any!

Re: PICK UP RESTORATION

:D Wonderful news that your pick up is all road worthy with it's new MOT. I know with our van the mirrors are a pain, when we replaced the wings with fibreglass ones we didn't want to put 'wing' mirrors on so the alternative was placing them on the door/triangle part of the window. They are ok but n...

Re: Stupid Mistake

I agree those blooming 'Upgrade to Windows 10' reminder pop ups are annoying! Hope you get to like Windows 10 soon Roy. I declined to upgrade our refurbished desktop which is running Windows 7 (which I deliberately chose instead of Windows 8.) However our laptop and son's laptop had Windows 8.1 whic...

 Well I never - fake holly berries!! Good job you have a sense of humour about it! Hopefully in a couple of years you will have some real specimens on your as yet scrawny plants! (And let's hope after all this fuss they are actually holly producing trees!).

:( Very sad to see your terrible state of your convertible. Where were they welding at the time?

Sorry I can't offer any advice but I hope it doesn't take too much haggling for you to achieve a sensible outcome.

Re: Gaydon 9th August

 Don't worry Chris you will soon have the hang of a digital camera! Most of them are easy, just work out the 'auto' mode and leave it alone! But do bear in mind there is a slight delay when taking digital photos, not quite the instant click of the old proper film camera shutters. :D Just experi...

Re: Sat nav use in a Minor

Well we do use a sat nav in our Minor van when going on longer journeys. But with a van you can't hear the directions very well at times!! We don't have the ability to charge it in the van and I would say our sat nav does not really have hours of life so we still take maps and also turn it off when ...
