Re: Availability (or lack thereof) of 145/80 R14 tyres

Thanks for that. I found a few sites like that showing them as available, but when you come to complete the order it tells you they are out of stock.

Availability (or lack thereof) of 145/80 R14 tyres

One of my tyres somehow acquired a hole close to the sidewall and had to be replaced. I asked my regular garage to source me another Bridgestone B381 Ecopia 145/80 R14 to match and they came back to say not only could they not find a Bridgestone, but they couldn't find any tyre of that size and sugg...

Sorted this. The helpdesk suggested clearing the browser cache which doesn't work. However, if you clear the cookies it does work.

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

An update. My receipt has just arrived for my recent purchase and I did get my double discount (8p/litre in this case) as promised in the final Fuelpecker e-mail.

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

My new Esso card arrived today and earlier I used it successfully. As @geoberni said the new card only gives you 3p-6p discount at any Esso station. Nothing extra on the motorway and nothing for Shell. As regards being unable to log on to my account the help desk suggested I change my password. Of c...

I managed to register as well but now it won't allow me to log back into my account! Maybe I need to wait until they issue a card.

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

Just had the debit appear on my credit card and the discount was only 4p/l not 5p/l. Before I raised it with Fuelpecker I thought I would check the current discounts and sure enough they have reduced:

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

I've had mine declined in the past and was told by Fuelpecker "This was due to network issues". It was fine next time I tried to use it.

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

I chased Fuelpecker again last week and got this response: Thank you for reaching out to us again. Fuelpecker is not issuing any new or replacement cards pending the new proposition. We sincerely apologize for the delay in supplying you with a replacement Fuelpecker fuel card. As mentioned previousl...

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card

I had to fill up with Diesel earlier and took a chance with my Fuelpecker card. It was accepted without a problem and I assume I will still get the normal discount.

I would be interested in other people's experiences of such a bag as well. I was looking at one for the Land Rover when we are green-laning and the ground is uneven.

Re: Car losing power….where to start

How long has the petrol been sat in the tank, what petrol was it (E0, E5, E10) and how full was the tank? It is possible the fuel has gone off over the winter.

Re: Dashpot oil

To test if you have enough oil in the dashpot then unscrew the plunger and try to pull it out a little bit and then push it in again. If there is resistance then the oil level is fine.
