ye boys probably know anyway but for the not so expierianced,cutting through sheet metal the easy way ,use wood chisel and hammer ,gets u right in tight spots where grinder wont go,sharpen on grinder ,its quicker ,quieter and no sparks ,use as u wood a nibbler type thingy,bye then,steve

BRIT , pucker photos on your webpage mate ,especially the ones of nearside footwell, its wat im doing at the moment,the whole sill area and edge of floor have to be done , taking a fair bit of wedge too!!!!!!

cheers girls & boys , ideally id like one made up for alternator not dynamo, a long way off yet ,the whole engine bays being stripped so should look good , cant be much to it on a 1955 car!!!!! ,steve

i had to drill out all the bottom nut/bolts on front grille panel yesterday , im thinking of using brass ones as replacements ,unless anyones got a reason not too,sterve

ello everyone, started stripown of splitty this week ,took wings off ,headlamp wiring not coluor coded, hopfully i can get one for this 1955 ,or will one off a later one do ,as they are coded im guessing,if so ill rip it out without taking notes and use workshop manual/other moggy for reference,any ...

ello conrades,the rear side glass,i take it ive got to bend back the tabs i can see from inside to remove glass,ive cut the rubber away from outside and tried to push in,or is it cut away from inside and push out ? cheers steve

sorry i couldnt make it boys,hate not turning up ,had to to look after my 6 yr old boy while missus was at westlife concert,she dont like moggys but does like westlife,gives u some idea wat im up against,hope it went well ray, regards long faced babysitter

cheers lads,i havent done repair or whole skin,out of the two kev id rather not do repair,all that work and then find u can see it, i think frost sell the tool tour talking about brix, ive got a machine mart down the road ill look there,steve

anybody changed doorskins before?hopefully ill have some second hand stainless frames soon,so while there off !! looks easy enough, or have i got the same rose tinted glasses on that i used to look at underside of my new splitty?any comments on this doorskin malarky most welcome,steve

my everyday car is a rover 620si auto ,ultra reliable honda engine/gearbox,only drive autos ,but dont mind moggy being manual,only comes out in nice weeather,dont want to do all that work to have it rot again,cant wait to get splitty on the road so we can all go out in it

pick up looks great mate,i went to southern rally in tilford ,that took me nearly 3 hours at 55/60mph including stopping at clacket lane and getting lost near rally, ill let u know wat happens wen i sort fuel pipe,steve
