Hi, thanks for your reply, i ve had a look underneath and did nt see much evidence of welding, once i saw the water in the rear floor pan i stopped looking, the wood looks/sounds ok, to me anyway. The location is in the wolverhampton/Walsall area.

I went to the garage that MOTd the car this morning, and they checked everything on their system everything was fine, they even gave me a duplicate certificate, i checked on the site as suggested by Louise, (thank you) and everything was ok there too, so sod it, i would ve done it online but i left ...

I went to tax my car today, and after standing in the queue at the post office for 1/2 hour i got my turn, only to be told that my MOT has nt been verified :evil: , just wondering why this is so and as anyone else had the same problem? With it being a gasless welder, you can only use flux cored wire, the wire that came with it should be fine to use, use thicker wire for thicker steel. Oh and make sure the metal to be welded is clean.

You need to get the wire feed at the right speed, if it comes out too slow you will get the birds--t effect or the wire will stick to the nozzle, if its too fast the wire will push away from the work piece and you end up with strands of wire, the push method is the one you use on mig welding, like a...
