Wiring loose on heated rear windows
Don’t know if there is a solution to this but the contacts for my heated rear windows have pinged off as shownAny suggestions as to the best way of reattaching them. Eg glue or fixatives that will allow continuity of the electrical circuit.

Re: Is my clutch on its way out?
I had a similar rattling noise on my traveller which I had assumed was the release bearing or even general wear in the clutch assembly. On closer inspection however found the problem to be the relay shaft assembly ie the bits that connect the clutch pedal ,including the adjustment rod and the associ...

Engine breathing again!
Thanks for those who replied to my earlier query re my duplicated engine breathing arrangement. All now functioning well with new vented oil cap ( fortunately I had a spare rocker cover to suit!) along with ‘can to carb pipe’. Just noticed that when you remove cap with engine running the revs drop a...

Re: Engine breathing
Thanks- yes that’s basically now how I have it - in fact you can see from my original photo I already had one breather tube going from the can to the carb, it the problem was this was being duplicated by one from rocker to air filter! All now resolved as it was originally intended!

Re: Engine breathing
I agree that the air filter may last longer with the alternative setup you suggest, but then vented caps do need cleaning occasionally too! The plastic type can be rinsed with petrol as can the metal ones, although I've found the quality of the rubber seal on the inside of the latter to be poor. Th...

Re: Engine breathing
Steve You appear to have duplicate breathing systems - that is from the oil separator to the carb and the rocker cover to the air cleaner. Only one of the breathing systems should be fitted. I would suggest that the breather from the 'can' to the carb is the one that should be fitted to your engine...

Engine breathing
I know this has been discussed before but just checking! 1098 cc engine Current arrangements : 1. Non vented cap on rocker. 2. Air filter to rocker. 3. Crankcase VIA can’ to carb. Question. Would it be better to put on vented cap to rocker and dispense with tube to rocker from air filter ( thus air ...

Antifreeze
just sorting out my antifreeze and noticed that Halfords do one which they say is suitable for Morris - Halfords Silicate Antifreeze. I usually have the bluecol stuff or similar. Any experience of the Halfords one , as that way I don't have to resort to post and packing!

Re: Misfiring under load
well, have taken Bmcecosse's advice and gone back to replace spark plugs as first option...they have been in for about 2.5k miles since I rebuilt engine. I may be premature but everything now seems ok.. So The new diz can go on later!!!

Re: Misfiring under load
thanks very much - cant see any sign of movement and given that whole unit looks very tired I think the easiest thing to do is to replace it . thanks for the link - am going to try them- much cheaper than ESM and others! Cheers Steve.

Re: Misfiring under load
Thanks ..have started to work through list.. Manifold bolts a bit loose but didn't sort ! Re.vacuum advance ..am I right in thinking that to check you disconnect from carb and suck and should hear it click? If so mine doesn't and could point to the problem - also rotor arm quite pitted and have clea...

Misfiring under load
My traveller has started misfiring under load and is getting worse! starts well, idles well and engine revs very well when stationery. have checked leads, initially assumed it was a fuel problem but don't think it can be. Re: Problem Borg and Beck clutch
Thanks for all replies - reassuring that it was not just me! Decided to keep original in place as this was in better condition than we had previously thought - replaced pressure plate inside with a more one that was more 'heavy duty' and more like the original compared to that supplied with the B an...

Problem Borg and Beck clutch
When trying to fit replacement clutch , noticed that retaining clips/springs holding release leavers tended to jump out - dont think this is as they should be - see pics. Anyone else had this problem ? Steve[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1361625147_12628 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.u...

Re: Gearbox cross member bolts
Yes, as far as I can see it is the captive bolt that has come loose - I say that because you can't screw it back in - it just wiggles about.

Gearbox cross member bolts
I have just noticed that one of the bolts holding the gearbox cross member in place appears loose - on closer inspection it looks as though one bolt has come adrift from its captive nut in the cross member. Any suggestions as to how I can sort this out - preferably without major dismantling.... to g...
