Re: engines / accelerators and the art of pushing a car alone

mmmmmm........ i'm not so sure mark. i could take a look on sunday Mark as i am about in the area. if it is the gasket, i could tell you within 2 mins and advise on what to do next. they really aren't that difficult to change.

Re: Braided Oil Pipe?

IT WILL FIT. it's slightly longer than the rigid steel one, but once you've got the angle correct, it will go in good enough. just one warning..... use some PTFE tape at the filter housing end and DON'T OVERTIGHTEN or you will split the housing. ...

Re: oil leak

I think the main suppliers will sell these pipes although ESM look out of stock, Bull Motif have them listed. Perhaps there is a more modern flexible pipe alternative? There is a picture of one here. http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/149317-oil-feed-pipe-leak/ Maybe BMC can give some (posi...

£1:50 !!!!!! Crivens man....... cartridge filters are only 50p - got a good stock, and I am sceptical of your better filtration idea. However - I do accept that there is no plate/spring etc to lose - and that has been the death of many an A series over the years.... Actually -I also have a box of c...

That boss looks pretty fragile - no wonder it cracked - and the oil pipes are notoriously fragile. I'm suggesting that if you had stayed with the 'good old cartridge' you wouldn't be having all this hassle and expense now........ no, spin on filter is the way to go. this is just an inconvienience a...
