You can recognize a CKD on the welding strip on the bulkhead (engine compartment side)

You can find the year of production on the right side of the engine. See photo. Also on the cylinder head. Engine number of my 1952 car is 135058.

I have not heard of it being stamped on the mounting plate before Mike, In the Netherlands we have P.Olyslager technical manuals like Haynes. The place of the stamped chassis number is quote in the Identification paragraph. See scan. I think it was a typical Dutch Molenaars Factory way for CKD cars...

The chassis number of my ‘52 car is stamped on the RHD mounting plate of the shock Damper.

We have here (NL) the problem that people not realize that other than engine Series MM components are BSF and force metric nuts……………. But where b******d stand for? :wink:

Thanks to Graham and Mike for a valuable experience. I have a good time between a very friendly seminar visitors.
The MM virus had found a good breeding ground in Boars Hill. And I hope that this (lovely) virus will go on for many years.

I found information about engine paint by Frost. But not the blue grey color in accordance with the engine in “Original Morris Minor”
