Re: 1967 minor

Re: converting pcd
i have a friend who is an engineer with his own outfit, he has a pretty good milling machine, laith and everything else you'd expect to find in a decent workshop, and has done some serious precision work in his time, i reakon he could mill out the holes no problem, but can you get stronger studs and...

converting pcd
hi all, how would i go about converting the minor hubs to 100 pcd. (my front arches are 2" wider and the rear are 2.5" so standard wheels are lost in them.) i think this is the closest to the original and was wondering if there was much work involved in removing the studs, drilling the hol...

hi all, I removed the kick plate and discovered a whole mash of rust, rot, and dodgy patching, i have already purchased a new sill and boxing panel, but it looks like i need a boxing panel extension, the bit under the sill, the bit between the sill and floor, and the main bit the boxing panel is wel...

fitting disk breaks nd different axle?
hi all, am thinking of fitting disk breaks to the front of my morris minor, but rather than pay big money for a kit, i was wondering if there are any other cars that i could use the front hubs and back axle from. preferrably something that has a decent choice of alloy wheels, and as little work as p...

Re: how to rig up a boot release cable?
it just occured to me, instead of trying to fit the release mechanism from another car or even using the bonnet mechanism, why not just drill a hole in the original boot release hook and run the cable to it?[frame][/frame]

Re: how to rig up a boot release cable?
brilliant chris thats exactly what i'm looking for, with a couple of boot struts and a punto mechanism, no more handle just a perfectly smoothe boot (providing my isopon skills are up to standard) that opens with the pull of a lever!

Re: how to rig up a boot release cable?
You've got serious holes in the sills - and you are worrying about the boot handle? Oh dear..... i know, but while i'm waiting for the rest of the replacement panels i thought this would keep me occupied. besides my welding is a tad rusty so this will give me a bit of practice. as for doing ...
