Re: Engine Centre Ltd, Willenhall

As we are all aware, BMC has unlimited spare time, a huge workshop, seemingly unending piles of cash, and knows everything there is to know about everything, and then some. However, if, like most other people, you don't have a massive workshop full of grinders, borers, polishers and cookie makers, t...

Re: Spotted today.

The other day I saw a black moggy (parked up so didn't get a good look as I drove past) & a green traveller in Worcester, and in Rowley a blue & cream van.

I waved at them all, but realised in a Ford Ka people just think you're mental.

Re: 2011 classic car show NEC auto jumble

Unfortunately, when I had travelled to the show, paid the £8 for parking, that, incidentally, Mr Coles had said was £5, what was I meant to do? Just go, oh no, I don't want to pay the entrance fee after paying for parking after travelling this far? I was told there was a discount - the NEC had no id...

Re: 2011 classic car show NEC auto jumble

Perhaps for someone who isn't a student, yes, but I don't go to the football, or take 'the family' out for meals in places that cost so much...(the cats wouldn't appreciate it for starters) Top Gear live was over £40, but I wasn't paying to go to see that. It's not just the price of a ticket anyway,...

Re: 2011 classic car show NEC auto jumble

The people at the ticket office told us they hadn't heard of any discount, and for those of us who were unable to purchase tickets in advance, it's sort of rubbing salt into the wound a little bit. I thought that the price, be it in advance or on the day was extortionate, and I hope that the price t...

Re: 2011 classic car show NEC auto jumble

I went yesterday, and was absolutely disgusted at the price of entry, charging at cash machines, charging for breathing etc etc. I didn't think it fair that there was a 'senior citizens' discount, but no student discount. I bought my ticket on the day, and was mortified that it was so much! I didn't...

Re: Exhaust Burbling/Farting

Sat in the library at uni (writing my essay due in in a fe whours, naturally), and this is really making me giggle. May I suggest that there are also car categories, i.e. vans, saloons, travellers... There are some good hills round here to practice farting. you would need judges placed at various po...

Re: Exhaust Burbling/Farting

Love this thread!

Martha sounded like a tractor when her exhaust broke, I loved that sound

She certainly does grumble quite a bit now though! It's one of the things I love about her ;)

Re: Spotted today.

Driving home from uni in Worcester today - saw a green traveller parked on a back street, and a smoke grey 1000 on the main road :)

Traveller had a mmoc sticker.

Anyone here?!

I was worried that the combination of new exhaust & engine would get rid of the fart...but no. I think Martha & I would win :p
