Re: Engine and suspension swap -advice needed

I actually have a choice of two engines so I need to get them measured up to see if I can get them to fit! The car will probably not be on the road for at least 6 months to a year. I am modifying the car and I can promise it won't look like ANY other Moggie in the World. Some of you might like it bu...

Re: What Engine? If you had the choice..........

Would have to be the Ford 2.9 ltr Cosworth, 206 bhp from the Ford Scorpio Ultima. Far far far too big in every way for a moggie but one hell of an engine!

Re: Engine and suspension swap -advice needed

Looking for a decent engine, probably 1.8 - 2.0. Seen loads of stuff on ebay that appeals and isn't too expensive (£200 - £300) for complete engines and boxes but I know the minor engine bay is short and narrow! Wanting to keep the car as standard body wise as possible, don't want to lengthen or mak...

Re: Engine and suspension swap -advice needed

What cars would that engine be in? As for budget as cheap as possible, I'm a family man so not got a lot of spare cash! Would ideally like a 2.0 ltr engine or 1.8 ltr. I'm not a mechanic but I can weld, cut etc. Brother in law is a mechanic though.

Engine and suspension swap -advice needed

Is there a nice and easy engine and suspension swap for those that are wanting to improve upon the original engine/suspension? If so what are they? Bear in mind most of the work will be done by me and money is tight. Will be going onto a Minor saloon.

Thanks

Aaron

Thanks for that. Do you know of the Minor in question then? Tried fitting them today but the rears don't match up hole wise so will need some re-drilling!

Famous Yellow Moggie in 1980's

My Dad has just bought some wings from a custom moggie that was apparently really famous in the 1980's. I know the car was Yellow, saloon and was fitted with a Chevy engine and nitrous apparently and was featured in the magazine Street Machine in the 1980's. Car has since been scrapped. Anyone got a...

Suspension, Help/advice please

My father and I have just got ourselves a Mog 4dr to modify. We are planning to fit either a Zetec engine or a Rover K-series, depends what we find at the right price. Wanting to put disc brakes on and upgrade all the suspension. What should we be looking for size wise and for ease of fit wise to pa...
